Abstract: 

The article deals with the analysis of the concept of “brutality” in the Ukrainian and Russian lingiocultures on the basis of its representation in dictionaries, as well as in journalistic and fiction discourses. The structure of the concept has been examined including its conceptual, figurative and evaluative components.
